Hi! My name is Erica and I’m an Internal Medicine physician in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I went to undergrad at Florida State University (GO NOLES!), and came back down south for medical school at Nova Southeastern University, and residency at Broward Health Medical Center. I am currently working in an outpatient office and truly love what I do. I started this blog because when I was in med school (ugh now I sound old) I wish there had been more real people around to answer questions and give me advice. There are so many great platforms out there now, and I wanted to be able to reach you guys through more than just my Instagram posts. The medical social media community is really an amazing thing to be a part of.
On this blog you will find a little bit of everything that I’m passionate about. Medicine has been such a huge part of my life, but it wasn’t always easy. I’ll be sharing how I got through each phase; from med school, to residency, and now as an attending (oh em gee), and I’ll give you some tips and tricks that I learned along the way. I’m also a HUGE foodie and I love to cook and bake, so you will find a section dedicated to different recipes; I apologize in advance for the less healthy ones but I’m a firm believer that everything is o.k. in moderation. That being said, I am currently working on becoming sub-certified in nutrition, so I’ll be posting some cool food facts and health knowledge as well.
Though I like to pretend I am, I’m am no where near as trendy as some of these fashion bloggers on IG, so my liketoknow.it posts won’t be daily. That being said, I have become a pro at online shopping (who doesn’t love shopping in your pj’s on your couch?!) and will keep you up to date with what I’m currently buying and I’ll share my favorite purchases with you as well. Lastly, I am a serious travel advocate. Traveling is something that I believe should be done as often as possible (even with limited time and funds), and I will be sharing my experiences with you, uploading my travel itineraries, and letting you guys in on some affordable travel destinations happening right now.
